Farewell Mr. Penny

Dear Gibson Families,

I hope you are having a great weekend.

I’d like to announce to you that Mr. Penny will be moving schools this September. He will be greatly missed as he has been a huge part of Gibson for the last three and a half years. We will miss Mr. Penny’s energy, hard work and passion for our school and students.

Mr. Penny will be the Vice-Principal at Hawthorne Elementary in Ladner and our new Vice-Principal will be Ms. Kristy Larson who comes from us from Cougar Canyon Elementary.

Please join me in thanking Mr. Penny for all that he has done for our school. We wish him all the luck at Hawthorne Elementary. Please also join me in welcoming Ms. Larson to Gibson.

Vaisakhi

We received a wonderful letter from the Guru Nanak Food Bank. A huge thank you to our Gibson Community for making our Vaisakhi event so successful. Please see below…

On behalf of Guru Nanak Food Bank, I wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Gibson Elementary School for your generosity and support during the recent food drive in celebration of Vaisakhi.
Your school’s contribution has made a significant difference in helping us fulfill our mission of providing assistance to those in need within our community. Your students’ and staff’s willingness to participate and contribute speaks volumes about the compassionate spirit that thrives at Gibson Elementary School.
We deeply appreciate your partnership and collaboration in this initiative, and we look forward to fostering more opportunities for collaboration in the future. Our aim is to continue working together to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families who require assistance.
Please know that our lines of communication are always open. If there are any students or families in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help in any way we can.
Once again, thank you for your dedication, generosity, and partnership. Your efforts are truly appreciated.
