Dear Gibson Families,

As per an email that was sent out previously…

We are excited to remind you that our Halloween Parade will take place on October 31 at 2:15 PM. Our primary classes will participate in this fun event, which will conclude in the gym where parents are welcome to join us and take photos!

In preparation for the parade, please remember our costume guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Costumes representing nationalities or subcultures that you do not belong to should be avoided.
  • Trauma Awareness: Costumes inspired by traumatic events, mental health issues, or sexual orientation are not appropriate.
  • Additionally, we kindly ask that costumes be age-appropriate and not too scary. Toy weapons should be kept at home.

We also ask that parents attending the parade please wait until 3:00 PM (our regular dismissal time) to pick up their children. Picking them up early can disrupt the class, so we appreciate your understanding.

If you have any questions about whether your child’s costume would be suitable for school, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.

DIWALI

We are excited to celebrate Diwali on November 1st! To honor this special occasion, we encourage students to dress in their best attire to embrace the spirit of the festival.

We look forward to a day filled with joy and cultural appreciation. Thank you for your support in making this celebration meaningful for our students!

PAC is looking for Parent Volunteers for Movie Night on Nov 8th. If anyone is interested please email gibsonpacgeneral@gmail.com for more details. Families that reserved tickets for Movie Night will have tickets sent home with the child they booked with.
