The Grizzly Gazette Sept 29 – Oct 3

Dear Gibson Elementary Families,

Welcome to the latest edition of our Grizzly Gazette! As we settle into the school year, we are excited to share updates, celebrate achievements, and keep you informed about the events and opportunities happening in our school community. Your partnership and involvement make a meaningful difference in your child’s learning, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.

Inside this newsletter, you’ll find important announcements, upcoming events, and highlights of the wonderful work our students and staff are doing every day. We hope you enjoy reading and feel connected to all that’s happening at Gibson Elementary.

Thank you for being such an important part of our school family!

Monday, Sept 29th

Orange Shirt Day. We will also be participating in a walk for Truth and Reconciliation. The walk will be RAIN OR SHINE. Please help your child dress for the weather.

TUESDAY, SEPT 30 – NO SCHOOL

Parent-Teacher Conferences – Gibson Elementary

Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9, with early dismissal at 2:00 p.m. on both days.

  • Wednesday, Oct 8: 2:10–6:00 p.m., in 10-minute slots

  • Thursday, Oct 9: 2:10–4:00 p.m., in 10-minute slots

Kindergarten teachers will not be holding conferences this time, as they recently met with parents. For other grades, this is a chance for you to share information about your child with their teacher, as they are still getting to know their students.

Booking: Parent Connect is not open yet but will be next week. We will notify families as soon as booking is available so you can reserve your time slot.

Thank you for taking the time to connect with teachers and make these conferences meaningful for your child’s learning.
